What do you DSLR users have as a pocket camera?

we’ll, after 2 years of lugging DSLR gear everywhere I might want to take a picture, I finally broke down and bought a p&s camera so I can keep it with me most of the time. Looking forward to getting into a more portable type of photography!

I’ve gone for a G9 as it shoots raw, and has a proper canon hot shoe for my flashes and/or pocket wizards.

I’ts just arrived this morning so I’m looking forward to giving it a try at the weekend!

I use a (slightly crappy) Nikon P2. I like it cos it has a time lapse function.

Canon G7, and firmware that doesn’t support the RAW hack :(

Still, it’s grand for those no-brainer holiday snaps (when you’re taking a holiday from photography  ). Mostly use it in video mode actually. I go to a lot of gigs. And I’m pleasantly surprised at the auto-everything results when used with the 580-EX on top.

Nothing yet  but I’m hoping to get my hands on a Canon G9 for Christmas!

I’ve not had a chance to use the g9 in anger yet, but it seems like a sweet machine. I tried it out last night with remote flash (cheapo ebay remotes) anf I had it it in manual mode and was impressed. It will take me a little while to get used to the focus on it, it seems to continue to aquire focus even after you click the shutter?

My wife as a Sony something or other, but she does’nt bring it anywhere, so it does’nt shoot much :-)

Canon A540. Small, light and great stuff straight out of it. If only I could remember to put it in my pocket now.

I got one of these for my daughter, big screen, 4x zoom, some manual controls., AAs. And I might get to borrow it sometime. :D

I always carry my Pentax S5n in my pocket. Not the best in its class, when new or now, but even in a leather case, it’s smaller than my wallet.

    Newbie here,
I got a Canon G9 for Christmas. Great little camera, dedicated flash (can use the STE2 or pocket wizards) Flash at all speeds. Good noise control. Can shoot RAW. Focus a bit slow, compared to my mk2N
