Could it be 1″ (one inch) lens. The diameter or length of the front element and the maximum size that is allowed into places like Croke Park.

Jupp.. it is for the park. Popping to the U2 concert, and that was written n the ticket info. I found some more comments on other pages, such as below… but it still is not clear. -Many folks have been to concerts bringing their little Canon Digital SLR, with the “standard” zoom, getting checked… and still ok.

“It just means a single lens camera, i.e. a camera that you can’t change the lens on, it’s how they distinguish between more professional cameras and normal punter cameras…..”

It’s a fair deal to allow only a certain segment of cameras, but make it clear! ;-)

With your statue and connections Sheldon, would you be able to dig out some more info..?

    Thanks!

PS! My A3 Epson I got from you a while back is still going strong! ;-)

Well I know Larry Mullen was in my year in school and we shared some classes but this is pushing it too much.

Get yourself a mini 4/3rd system camera with tiny lenses and you should be OK.
