On e-bay from Ocean Camera NY with the great exchange rate got 055XPROB, 322RC2 and MBAG80P padded bag for just under Eur 270 including delivery!!

Not bad at all… these guys in Germany are similarly priced.. but they only sell the bag seperatley. Bought from them a few times now.
I’ll check out that store. Nice to have ‘options’ when it comes to buying stuff.
It’s great with the exchange rate at the moment, for once got in at the right time!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exchange Rate is A1 at the mo’… getting nabbed in Customs is a killer though… people might say ‘even with the charges it works out a great deal’ which is probably true… what kills me though is the 2 week delay it adds onto getting your goods. Big fan of buying from the States.. but it recently took close to 3 weeks for customs to process a package for me.

Yes that would be a b*****, but I have always been lucky…………but this was the quickest I have ever received goods(was realisitically hoping to have the tripod for the Mourne mountains next weekend!!)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting. I have ordered a new lightweight tripod that I hope to try out at teh Mournes trip. Ordered last night from HK so let’s see if it arrives on time. If not, you’ll know who I am by the three pieces of angle iron welded together and hoisted over my shoulder.

Railway cariage wheel? Luxury! In my day we had to use a millstone from a Derbyshire quarry and haul it all the way over ourselves, using it as a float in the Irish Sea.
