johnnycorcoranParticipant
Hi
Im interesting in learning more wedding or portrait styles and did a research and I really like those kind of style as see images below. BUT the question is what or Is there a name for those kind of style? I like to buy a book, search more on the web but I couldnt find anything. its more of a stand straight, etc and ALL at 50mm F1.2 with 35mm Film Camera.bananabenderParticipantMost of them would be “Informal Shallow Depth OF Field” Portraits, thats all, right? I.e. shot wide open. ….
This is not a question a real professional would have to ask by the way. No offence, but the question is odd to say the least.johnnycorcoranParticipantCheers! I can FEEL that my balloon of idea haven’t bust yet,I’m trying to develop my work alittle more.i want to do research and wanted some portrait work but I can’t explain why or what it’s call.
i know that I’m not explain it clear as I’m good at taking pixs and rubbish at words :-)
Jonnyp16vParticipantI’m no expert and could be using the wrong terms, but they look slightly cross processed to me. There are some videos on youtube that explain how to manipulate the curves to make the image look like that.
johnnycorcoranParticipantJonnyp16vParticipantI can’t remember the exact video I watch before, but here are few anyway.http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=cross+processing+colour+images+in+photoshop&oq=cross+processing+colour+images+in+photoshop&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&gs_sm=12&gs_upl=0l0l0l175777l0l0l0l0l0l0l0l0ll0l0 Hope they are of use to ya.
johnnycorcoranParticipantNice, those are interesting.Would keep that in my bookmark :-D.
Am hoping about the “Poses” or “Candid” “or “stand straight” shoot.(I know people can learn about portrait poses, but this photos is different. Not the photoshop / lightroom colour.johnnycorcoranParticipantLet me know if Im not making sense :-D I have no problem. I can ask someone to type it up for me more clear. but to delete those post and update a new one!
Caroline3000ParticipantYes it is a nice style, particularly the first two photos. Kinda young and quirky

This is not a question a real professional would have to ask by the way. No offence, but the question is odd to say the least.I may be mistaken but I think johhny was referring to the poses/composition and not necessarily what camera settings to use or what post processing to get the final ‘look’.
