What type of spider is this????

    Anyone got an idea of what type of spider this is. Not great pictures but damn did that thing move fast.

    Its a house spider John, Tegenaria species and they seem to get bigger at this time of year,
    and yes they move quick….but not as quick as me when I see one!

    ahh it’s only a spider…. but yeah I moved quick enough when I saw it straight up to get the camera… Cool looking spider though.

    Nice shots John.
    I can’t wait for a few of these guys to come visiting. They are great posers when not running around the place. :lol:

    Giant house spider – Tegenaria duellica or Tegenaria gigantea :-)

    and small curio :-) – With speeds clocked at 1.73 ft/s (0.53 m/s), the giant house spider held the Guinness Book of World Records for top spider speed until 1987
