What you think of this lens

I’m thinking of purchasing this new lens, fairly pricey…

Wow – I’d love to know which camera that’s mounted on – given the size and weight of the lens, they must have engineered the lens mount on the camera out of some special material :wink:
Or is someone going to come along and tell me that the photo above is a fake!!!

The lens mount is apparently a special titanium platinum alloy Thorsten. The tripod of course is also titanium and is anchored fifteen metres below the soil into the bedrock to avoid tipping :lol:
A buddy sent me a link to that lens a while back. He said “With that baby, you won’t have to go to Africa next year. It’ll come to you”.
I just think this is going a bit too far… you need to be shooting something very specific to justify something like this, and even then i can’t really remember of anything that would justify it!
Wonder if it’ll take a teleconverter :lol: or if it can be reversed :wink:

Wouldn’t you know it – there’s always someone whose not happy with what they can get and wants more. Come on now, don’t be greedy!!! Why would youwant to go putting a TC on it – isn’t the focal length and reach of this lens sufficient for you? Are you trying to photograph wildlife on the moon? There’s just no pleasing some people, is there! :wink: :wink:

Ah Thorsten, there is wildlife on the moon…….but it’s underground :wink: Wonder if the Hubble has a Nikon f mount?
