Whats your favourite photo from 2010 ?

I have to agree with Jenny’s comments re what might make a favourite photograph. The day our son Jonathan graduated from IADT in Dun Laoghaire was an emotional day for our family for a number of reasons. I also, of course, wanted to get a photograph that was different than the stock ones being made by the professionals. This was the best I could do. Great day.
Cheers.
John.pelagicMemberJohn,
and by this time next year we’ll know a lot more about flash. We’ll post much better images because our friends on PI are so helpful.
markst33ParticipantThis is mine. It’s taken overlooking Carlingford Lough at a spot where i spent a lot of my childhood. Maybe not the best pic i took in 2010, but it’s still probably my favourite…
shutterbugParticipantJMac-2006ParticipantHave a couple favourites from 2010, but Jenny reminded me of a great day on Saltees with fellow PI’ers and this image came to mind. It was like everything came together in a moment, the chicks yawn, my location and the composition with the blue sea giving great backdrop. A second later and the chick’s mum was back in shot in the way.
clami79ParticipantaoluainParticipantgreat work.
love that scene yvonne.
this is probably my favourite . . . taken on my mamiya 645super and developed in caffenol-c.
MikkaParticipantstevie glennMemberthis would be mine. i havent been shooting very long. and got this shot at the sunlower races at Bishopscourt Racing Circuit. and was very happy with it.
DeeboParticipantGood work all
This is one of my fav. shots of 2010.
Taken on sunny and frosty morning in Oxford Island before I started work. I drove 50 miles round trip to clear my head and this was one of the best trips I had last year. Also managed to sell this image a few times, which also helps.Dee
streetshooterMemberA lovely collection of pictures but also a clear definition of what photography is all about – the most enjoyable aspects are people, events and being in the right place at the right time! :)
damiansynnottParticipantThis is my favourite image of 2010. I was on holidays in Bordeaux, down by the river there is whats called the Mirror d’eau, basically a water mirror. We were sitting by the water as the sun was setting and I was waiting for this section to become clear of people so I could get a shot of the building reflected in still water when I seen this woman start to cross my path from the right and thought this could get interesting. As she walked across my viewfinder I shot of 6 shots and this one came out exactly as I wished.
The photo reminds me to be patient and watch the scene develop and also of a fantastic holiday I had in Bordeaux.
joe_elwayParticipantMy favourite is a wild subject that wasn’t in the wild. This female sparrowhawk was handed into a falconry centre when she was found injured. They did their best to rehabilitate her but she eventually died. My guess is that she was probably not a youngster, but for me, she had a certain beauty. Every time I look at photos of her, I’m drawn in by her alert eyes.
