Where can I do a good course

Hey I recently bought a DSLR and have been out and about on my own but i really need to do some sort of a course. I defo do not want to do a beginner course cause i know most of it would be just too easy and would annoy me. Also i have found the the courses in the local schools are very basic. Has anyone got any sugestions of courses esp any courses that are not that expensive. Or would anyone be willing to do a few hours that i could pay them for>

Check out Peter Cox, one of the sponsors on this site. He does group and individual courses and I’m sure can cater for most people.

    Sinead –
I have a couple of places left on my group improvers courses in November – I have one in Dublin and one in Cork. The format is two days intensive tuition and the group is limited to 6 people. Details can be found on my group photo courses page.

Alternatively, you could do a one-to-one course with me. I offer both one- and two-day varieties and it would be just you and me, with the course content tailored specifically to your skill level – we can move as fast or as slow as you want. Details of that are available on my private photo courses page.

I have many happy customers including more than a few of this forum’s readers. You can see some testimonials of satisfied customers on my testimonials page.

You can get in touch with me directly if you’d like any more information, or to book a course.

    Cheers,
    Peter

I’ve done the Peter Cox course and would have no trouble in recommending it (though I see you may have ruled
    it out already).
Also check out http://www.photoanswers.co.uk where there are video tutorials etc (there’s loads more tuition available
    online).
Lastly one thing to bear in mind is that if you do a course involving field work its good to do it near where you live. That
way you can re-visit the locations again on your own. I got to see some wonderful locations on Peters course but unfortunately
he is in west Cork and I’m in Dublin. Would love to get back down there again.
    Good luck with it.
    Martin.
