Where is a good place to get SD cards these days?

Haven’t bought memory cards for a while and was just wondering where the best place for value and quality was for buying SD and SD HC cards in Ireland (South) (online or else)?

Seems that a lot of UK internet companies don’t deliver electronics equipment to Ireland or charge more for delivery than the cards are worth.

Not Ireland.. but… I rarely deviate from either:

    or

    Thanks John.
I ordered some cards from 7DayShop
I thought the £8 delivery charge was a bit steep, but as I wrote before, many other UK places don’t deliver to Ireland.

Play.com have ggreat value cards and no shipping cost. i wish I had an address in the North.

Yeah… £8 now… it was £7 a few weeks ago… and before that, maybe 10-12, months ago it was £4… crazy hikes alright… but I think it’s fixed at £8 so you could but a tripod, 10 memory cards and a bag and it’ll still be £8… so not too bad in that regard.

Play.com sucks as well… they’ll send you a Playstation console but not a memory card… their customer service is gone to the dogs lately as well. I don’t use them at all anymore… used to buy DVDs and Games but I’ve stopped.

Free delivery from here: komplett.ie – I use them quite a bit; fast and reliable.

    SD Cards: http://www.komplett.ie/k/kl.aspx?bn=10244

“Crucial Secure Digital 1GB, SD-Card, 6/7MB Write/read” – €5.90 (that’s all you pay… which is less than the shipping alone from the other place!)

    Or a 2GB for €9.99

Free Delivery but the prices are a bit OTT in some cases e.g.

Sandisk Extreme III 4GB CF card:

    €95
    http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=331164

Works out about €40 inc. delivery
    http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_6&products_id=101183

I wouldn’t buy any other brand when it comes to memory cards.

I bought both my CF from 7dayshop.
then I discovered (yes I am a candid fool) that fake sandisk are available on the net. and both my cards came with no package….
can someone of you confirm that they’re original?????

    thanks!!!

7DayShop are 100% legit. Anytime I’ve bought Sandisk cards from them they come in full Sandisk packaging.

    :O
anytime (2 cards) I’ve bought from them, CF came with no package.
I must say that, checking with the various “how-to spot a fake sandisk” guide online, they look genuine.
but I am italian, therefore suspicious :D

    but you’re a Wonkafan’s friend. So I trust you!

    shop4memory.com

Yep, I’ve heard these guys are pretty reliable.

    Price comparison shop4memory.com:
€ 62 – 4Gb Sandisk Extreme III CompactFlash memory card

Not bad.. but still €22 over the 7DayShop price. You won’t get stuff close to home from a legit retailer any cheaper than 7DayShop but you will get it quicker from shop4memory.com

Gizzo.. no idea why your stuff came with no packaging. Any Sandisk cards I’ve bought also include a small black cushioned carry case and some version even had a free license key for Capture One V4 (a RAW processing packge somewhat similar to Lightroom) compliments of Sandisk.

MX2.com seems reasonable, although delivery takes about a week, here in Wales.
