Would anyone have any recommendations as to where to buy paper? I’m looking for an Epson A3+ Premium Semi-gloss 215gsm, google returns prices £21-$97 + shipping and local shop at e48 per 20 sheets.
Adam.
MartinParticipanthttp://www.7dayshop.com do go deals on main stream papers
For better papers I have bought from http://www.silverprint.co.uk but its expensive stuff, but you get what you pay for…
bearloirParticipantWill check them out, thanks Martin, what do you mean when you say better papers?
Adam.
mgstParticipantBearlor dont mean to hijack your thread as i am looking for some Epson paper too.

nfl-fanParticipantI too use 7DayShop quite a bit and find them very good.
I’ve purchased many items from them and for the most part never had an issue. An item went MIA in the mail once and they sent out a replacement at no extra cost.
Just bear in mind that these guys are based in Jersey which is outside the EU so in theory customs and VAT is applicable. Never had an issue with this, most orders I place are relatively low value.
When shipping they send out each item seperately, so all your goods may not arrive on the same day. The benefit of this is that each package is valued as low as possible to try and keep them under customs thresholds.
Shipping times are usually between 5-7 working days to arrive in the Republic. CathalD who is N.I. based got his in 1 workind day (ordered Fri arrived Mon).

€48 is actually a very good price for Epson A3+ Premium, But another great option would be PermaJet’s Oyster. The Quality is as good – if not better and you get FREE profiles. We can supply 25 sheets for €43.95 Inc VAT.
See: http://www.permajet.com/product/78/Oyster_271_(Semi-Gloss).htmlrandomwayMemberI bought printer paper from 7dayshop. I always get my post from them crumpled and the papers I once ordered were actually ALL damaged… it’s very annoying when every single corner is broken on 50 A3 sheets and 50 A4 sheets. Maybe just my post office is c..p, but I wouldn’t order paper from 7dayshop again.
I like Ilford’s papers, and they come in a relatively harder box, so they survived. Elara.ie is the place I buy inks and papers from. I live close to their warehouse and there is no shipping fee, no shipping damages if you collect the stuff in person. The only problem is that they look like closing down the business, the choice is very limited and it’s getting worse, so you have to be quick.

Adam.Sorry for late reply. The better papers I find are the Fiber based ones. Allot thicker so make sure your printer can take them. The main brands provide free profiles also eg Ilford. Find the quality better in these papers. Blacks are real black and the whites are real white, basically a wider tonal range and better shadow and highlight detail. (I print B&W so don’t know about colour prints)
mgst: Allways found 7dayshop great to deal with no problem recommending them
