Where to do/get stuff, questions for dublineses..

    Hi,
It would be awesome if somebody would tell me where to do/get these in Dublin?

    1. I have old camera which uses quick-silver-batteries, of course they are not available anymore, so does anyone know where to get zinc-air-batteries? In Finland I got these from “hearing-aid” shop (a hearing aid uses same kind of batteries)?

    2. Where I can get a real black-and-white-film developed (and off course buy new ones)? (I live in Dublin 15)

Can’t help with the first part but Gunn’s on Wexford street can help you with developing b/w film!

Don’t know where you can get the batteries in Dublin, but I’ve used the following place for some hard-to-get batteries : http://www.watchbattery.co.uk/shop/shophtm.shtml

also worth checking out is the 2 euro shops as i have seen them sell a card with various batteries on worth a look.

Amateur Photographer always recommend the Small Battery Company for this situation, though I’ve never dealt with them myself. I think the voltages are different between the two types of battery, so you might want to be careful. I think it more affects the accuracy of metering than runs a real risk of frying the camera, but better safe than sorry!

There’s a hearing aid shop on Talbot Street just a few shops up from Clery’s side entrance.
If you already use hearing aid batteries maybe bring one in to them and see if they have the same thing in there.
