    Hi
This is the second half of my problem that needs solving. After my computer crashed I lost all my programmes,I cant remember what software I had to download pictures from my camera to computer.Any help would be appreciated.
P.S I have it all backed up now if anyone has not this done I would highly recommend it.Its a pain trying to get everything back.

What do you mean by download software? Do you want something to edit and organise your photos? To download them I just use my computer and copy/cut and paste. Saves loads of hassle…

Corel Paint Shop Pro has a download application with it.
Adobe Bridge can download from camera/memory card.
Adobe Lightroom can download from camera/memory card.

There are just so many applications out there that auto-detect a camera/memory card and automatically download from it. I think, in some instances, you can even get Windows Vista/7 to do it automatically too.

Hard to give an exact answer to your question.

    Copy/Paste will always work.

Depending what camera you’re using the manufacturer probably has a free software that will do the trick. Check out the manufacturer website or drop them an email.

Lots of free downloads available, Picasa 3 is a popular one, has basic editing and organising
    facilities.
