Where to get a Long large Holdall

I am starting to amass a fair bit of equipment and I find myself having to make 2-3 trips to and from the car to load/unload. I tried using a suitcase but aside from looking like my wife is kicking me out of the house every couple of weeks, it does not fit everything.

I need to put in it

    2. large cloth backdrops (these can be folded so are not an issue
    a softbox (again foldable)
Rods for lightbox assembley (these are about 2.5 – 3 ft long)
    Lightstand
    2 umbrellas
    Other odds and ends.

The issue with everything I have tried is that nothing seems to be long enough for the lightstand and rods.

The case/holdall does not have to be very wide but it has to be long. Probably close to 4ft long.

I have no clue where to start looking.

    Any ideas ?

    Hi Mark.
    Possibly a fishing supplies store could have something suitable. http://www.sportsdirect.com/nerus-extra-long-fishing-holdall-768764″ onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;

You can get travel bags for golf clubs, they are soft as in not rigid and have small wheels on one
end so they can be wheeled along, they would be about a foot square and about four foot long,
    zippered with pull along handle.

i would deff not put all that in one bag

    firstly it will be heavy

but more importantly stuff will get wrecked

lightstands will crush and bend brollys for example

i have 2 bags, one for diffusers – soft boxes etc
and 1 for grip, ie stand etc

    much safer and easier too

We stock this wheeled case: http://www.barkerphotographic.ie/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=2953&search=case which will hold light stands in a separate compartment to other gear (Lights etc.). As it has wheels and a telescopic handle, it’s easy to shift a lot of gear. As Steve mentioned, the only issue is lifting it in and out of a car.
