    Hi,

I recently bought my 7D from http://www.imagesupplysystems.com/productsdigitalcameras.htm in Dublin and they beat both Conn’s & Gunn’s by €200 on the body.

They near matched any UK website on price. They have trained Canon Tech’s and have twice yearly free ‘sensor cleaning’ services and repair clinics if you buy from them. Well worth asking for a quote.

As regards which camera to get – i’d go straight for the new EOS 550. Pretty much the same as the 7D. 18MP.

Here’s a group discussion that may help you decide. Perhaps go in and ‘hold’ both and ask they salesman to help you decide.

    1. Decide how much money do you want to spend
    2. Decide what do you want to photograph
    3. Buy the most suitable lenses
    4. If needed, buy other essential equipment if needed (tripod, monopod, filter, lights)
    5. Take the rest of the money and buy the best body you can afford
    6. If you have more options for the same price in step 5, then go to step 2, compare them and decide which one will be most suitable for you (what is best for me doesn´t have to be best for you, a landscape photographer will spend €1700 on 5D Mk. II, a sports photographer will spend €1700 on 1D Mk. III)
