    Steve,

I’d suggest trying some Fuji Neopan 400. Should be fast enough to use in the Holga (the Holga is MF ya ?).
Gunnes have plenty in stock, I know coz I bought some at the weekend :)

Tell them that PI sent ya ;)

Any 400 speed film should be good for the holga: Kodak Tri-X, Ilford HP5, Fuji Neopan 400.

Steve, I would suggest you try some 400as colour film, the fact you can print your own work will give you lots of creative control.

For inspiration look at Dominic Turners work http://www.dominicturner.ie/portfolio_plastography.htm

I’d suggest colour too, if your not yet at the stage where you plan to do your own processing.

400 ISO, something like Fuji Superia or Pro H, or Kodak Portra VC. Holga seems to suit good saturation and vivid colour.
Plus, you’d have the choice of converting to BW in PS, but that is frowned upon in some circles. There are probably people out there that would pin my ears to the floor and pee in my shoes for making the suggestion…

using colour film to convert to b/w is a really sensible thing to do-
you can apply your filtration post hoc…

Well, some good advice so far Steve… But, I don’t know why I didn’t think of it earlier, but you could apply the same logic you use when buying cameras, and pick the ones that come in the prettiest boxes
