Please can sombody advise me I have a Nikon D60 with a 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S VR DX NIKKOR lens on it I am looking at getting a second lens and I have two in mind can someone tell me what would be the best to get and why, part of the decision is down to price is it wort paying the extra for the Nikon lens 1) 55-200mm f/4-5.6 AF-S VR DX NIKKOR 300 euro 2) Sigma 55-200mm F4-5.6 DC Lens 180 euro.. Am I right in my choice is there something else I should look at. I am getting the lens as I like takeing shot from a distance…
Hi bazman, depends what you like to photograph really, I am not a Nikon user
so cannot comment on the Nikkor lenses, but I do use Sigma lenses and have
found them to be excellent quality for the money, I have an 18-200 lens that is
on my camera virtually all the time and is very handy for a general walkabout
lens.
If you are into wildlife you may need longer reach than 200 and find in a couple
of months you are hankering after something bigger :)
Hi Bazman. I’m afraid I am a Canon user so I won’t be much help, but if you type in the lens name followed by “reviews” in your browser, you should get some good advice on the performance of each, which will help you decide.
