Hi guys i have a canon 60d with an 18 200mm efs lens,3.5 5.6.i have now purchased a 2nd camera ,a canon 1d mk 111 ,also a 70 200 f2.8mm lens.I now need a new 2nd lens for use with both cameras as I will be offloading my 18 200mm and I would like to get an L quality lens.It needs to be usable with both cameras.I shoot sports so my 1d will almost always have the 70 200f 2.8 on.The 60d will be for group shots etc. Also when I am not shooting sports I will use my new lens on my 1d ,when i am shooting sports the L lens will be on my 60d.I am not sure what to buy,can any of you guys give me any advice.i was thinking the 24 70 f2.8 mk 1 or the 24 105 f4??.has anyone got any suggestions to offer??

I would have recommended the 24-70mm lens.

I have both the 24-70mm and the 24-105mm lenses. I much prefer the 24-70mm. Well worth considering.

The 24-105mm has IS. Can’t say I’ve ever used it.

Just use a fast shutter speed greater than 1/100sec and you will be fine.

Very hard to find a 24-70mm mkI these days, unless you find one 2nd hand.
