Which One ?

Not really looking for critique on these, I am putting together various samples of prints, frames etc. as the portrait side of my work has started to increase. Unfortunately I am just at the end of my budget. I am getting one more sample made (a large foamex print) and I don’t know which of these two to select. My wife & I can’t agree (whats new !!) so I would be interested to know which one you guys would prefer, or which do you think would hold the most appeal.

    Thanks in advance

If I was a parent looking for a commisioned piece, I think I’d be more likely to choose the first as the sort of photo to frame. As regards the second, I would also question a little the positioning within an otherwise blank frame. SO for me the first.

    Hi Kevin,

It’s great to see business expanding! If I needed to choose one of these two, I’d also go for number one as number two looks a little soft around the edge…though a wonderful expression! Beautiful big eyes. However I had a peek at your website, and there’s a couple on there that I LOVE…

p.s. if you had a communion shot with the white background, you might get some extra bookings this time of year.

Looking at these with a parents eye rather than technical critique… I would definately choose the first, it has more life and expression to the pose.

    Cheers Steve,

will be in touch about one of them anyway – can discuss when I’m out picking up the other prints.
