Alright folks, with all this talk of eyes lately, here’s another.
I’m expecting someone to tell me to clean up on the highly polished (!) head for highlights but forgetting that for the time being (I’ll be getting stuck into a shop full of potatoes over Xmas I hope, until then I can’t selectively edit highlights/shadows), comments please.
This is Rossa O Snodaigh from a recent Kila gig (gallery will go up on my www within the week I hope)
A highly polished pate alright stas-
This talk of natural light at gigs recently-
you’re at the mercy of the lighting designer really
and in this case,
you could have used some footlights-
I think closer might have been good,
and maybe a profile could have used that lighting better,
but from here,
that lighting is really not too attractive-

Yes, panda eyes issues, which I tried to lighten up. I used a fill flash (on-camera) on a few other shots, but found that even at -2 it was a bit much, giving tell tale ‘flash’ signs. I didn’t take out my speedlight (the only way to use it would have been a bounce card or dome as there’s nowhere to bounce it, walls and ceiling are black). Thanks Joseph.
