Whistler Mountain Biking

I was lucky enough to be in Canada this summer and made a trip to Whistler for a bit. Whistler is the leader in the world for chairlift accessed mountain bike trails- pop your bike on the special hooks on the chairlifts, catch the next one, and your bike is waiting for you at the top. It’s all downhill from there! It really is heaven on earth if you’re a mountain biker. And if you’re not, the vistas from the top are incredible.
Here is a shot of a new section of trail called Freight Train. These are probably the sweetest berms (banked corners) that I have ever seen. This is Conor riding it, who owns Revolution Bike Store in Newry.

Pete[/url]Seriously good fun. The trails there are beautifully built and designed. Its like riding a roller coaster, only on a bike… and you could crash any minute!!
Pity the flowers aren’t in focus. And they’re not really blurred enough to be blurry. They just look like I missed focus…which I suppose I did!
photo first, the flowers are a distraction, but any rotation or cropping and important bits of the rider will be out of shot.
trails second, any there suitable for hamfisted unsubtle riders who cant jump well? The line on the second berm looks like you’d be railing round it right on teh edge!
