TaraMember
hi all,
have been messing around with my new camera…… comments etc welcomed!
Cheers
RobertoMemberIt looks good in small version. The large one is not sharp enough. When you upload your photos, don’t use the full size. Adjust it.
I like the lighting and composition.joe_elwayParticipantTough to tell what it’s like with the big version. You should resize it so the longest side is 800 pixels. The thumbnail looks good. I like seeing water droplets on a flower shot… it makes it seem alive.
GilesKSParticipantIt looks like a nice photo, but it would be better to direct link a more reasonably sized photo (800 pixels or so wide). Yours is quite similar to one I took of the same species (Calystegia sylvatica, Large Bindweed) a few days ago. Water drops and all.

gerardkParticipantI think it looks good. From the low res version its hard to tell but I like the way it looks to be almost transparent.
TaraMemberThanks for the tips…. I’ll remember that for next time upload some!
Cheers

Noely FParticipantPeteTheBlokeMemberI like it. The way the light comes through from the back is lovely and you resisted the temptation to shoot straight down the funnel, which is good. I even take issue with Roberto’s sharpness comment – I’ve looked at the fullsize version and the stamen/stigma are not sharp, but most of the corolla is.
I can’t tell whether it’s Calystegia sepium or C. silvatica without being able to see the epicalyx-bracteoles (just to keep Giles on his toes).

I have changed my mind on my plant, which is actually C. sepium. C. silvatica is growing next to it. As Pete says it is difficult to tell on this one, but probably it is C. sepium as well on the basis that the flowers look a bit small for C. silvatica. But, I wouldn’t be confident on that.
John DunneParticipantThats a fantastic shot. Lighting is excellent. I love the depths of green too. Super whites and super greens. 10/10
