White Images

Hi all,
This has already more than likely have been answered but sometimes when i take a photo, the image come out white on the lcd screen, now in saying this sometimes you can make out a figure or two but more or less everything comes out white, i have an idea what it may be… Aperture… any help will be good camera is a 1d mk2 just cant figure it out

ShaneWell Shane, it is too much light hitting the sensor, so either too wide an aperture,
or too long of a shutter speed…….try using Aperture priority you choose the aperature
and the camera will choose the shutter speed, just until you get used to the different
settings. A very good book to read is “Understanding Exposure” which I think is
excellent, easy to understand and really makes sense……..I remember after I had
read it a couple of times saying “Oh YES”
