Whithering Purples

Not sure what kinda plant/flower this guy is, but liked the way it was just nearing the end of its life. C&C welcome, though I’m already aware of the distracting white and blue spots and the shadow on the left… :)
It’s sharp, and it’s interesting, but I think the strong light has ruined it a bit. I have the same problem with flowers – bright sunshine gives harsh shadows, overcast light gives a moving subject if there’s even a breath of wind. And don’t even start me on the subject of rain!
It is an Agapanthus, and makes for an interesting subject
throughout its life, but agree this stage is one of the best,
light is harsh wonder what it would look like in B & W? and
possibly cropped more.Shutterbug :)
