Lovely subject. I suxpect you may not have the sharpness you’d have liked?

Why are their heads brown? Is it youth or mud?

In my experience the two often go together.

Are they actually in contact or is one just behind the other?

They were about 80meters away and i used a bit of cropping, light was shite, so no didn’t get the sharpness i wanted, but i think it will be alright at this size, don’t intend on printing it any bigger than 6×9.

Their heads turn that colour when they are feeding in Iron rich water, they are male and female (female is smaller)and most likley mates, this is a bonding moment, they were rubbing the sides of there beaks against eachother.
