I thought you had posted upside down til I clicked on the larger picture. A gem!
mgstParticipantBeautiful light and reflection was there much post processing done.
Mick
drakooParticipantthanks all,
mqst, not so much processing there…..i did from RAW – gama, contrast, levels and a bit of tonal range….mgstParticipantMartinOCParticipantBeautiful, great light and composition.
Bet it would look great printed huge on a wall.Martin
slang61ParticipantmcmartinParticipantfrom my point of view you overcooked it… here is why… it is known that reflection shouldn’t be brighter than object reflected, and here, reflection in the water show that there was no orange colour on the mountain side, and the sky was completely grey… the reflection itself is beautiful and makes nice wave through the picture… would love to see original…
andy mcinroyParticipantI would tend to agree with Marcin here,
There is something not quite right with the reflection in terms of its colour and brightness compared to the scene above.
We would expect the area in shadow to be cooler of course, however not the reflection which should have a similar warmth to the mountains above. It just looks odd. Did you happen to use a sunset filter?
Andy
wirepicParticipantI would have to agree with the last two posters about the reflection. It’s not actually reflecting what we see above. Still a great shot and I love the way it appears as three different layers. Perhaps a little less processing on the upper portion might suit.
drakooParticipantmcmartin, andy mcinroy, Yes I used a tabaco cookin filter there, so that is a rison of sky colour. Will post pic without that filter soon.
thx all for comments

randomwayMemberBeautiful light, nice exposure, good composition, flowing lines… but the fake sky kills it for me, too. It could take a warming filter to enhance the sky and the reflection of it, but an orange sky without a contrasting subject (a nice blue sportscar..) in the foreground just doesn’t work for me. If you modify an image heavily, you have to have a good reason to do so.
Other than that it has loads of potential, and definitely not a bad picture.
fishjam45Participantdid you take this up around The Sally Gap area?
beautiful shot by the way!
