How much you intend on spending?

The Sigma 10-20 is a great lens, pick it up in a shop for under 500.

What would you be using it for?

Landscape mostly, 500-600 budget wise. Still don’t want to buy something and find its not sharp etc..

In case your interested Bermingham cameras on the quays do the 10-20 sigma for 465 – its not in stock at the mo but other shops will price match.

I haven’t used wider than 18 either, but have been contemplating something wider, so am interested in the opinions on this thread too.

I usually buy in Conns Cameras – which do allow you to rent the lense first and if you opt to buy it after the rental period, they’ll knock the rental price of the purchase price. Can’t go wrong!

I just went from a 19-35 to a 10-20 the other day and still getting the hang of it – it has come in handy doing team & group photos for the local paper already and as it has 100 degree angle you basically get everything except your feet.

I like conns too – they almost always knock a chunk off the price if you buy items together – or even just for asking they will take 10 -15% off.

Try the Nikon 10.5mm 2.8 lens
its a cracker lens for weddings

I’m thinking about Nikon 10.5mm f2.8 G DX IF-ED Lens – its priced around 800 euro on conns cameras, but I’m hoping a friend can pick one up at B&H in New York for me for around 500 euro

Be curious to see if there are better options resulting from this thread though
