Took this with the IR Converted 30D.
Wasn’t feeling the B+W conversion, the sky lacked a bit of pop, so had a play with the colour swapping technique.
Now’t special… just a tester. Need to investigate the PP a bit more.
Alan RossiterParticipantI gotta get me a converted camera!!
I was never too keen on the colour IR but this has swayed my opinion big time. The subject suits the shot and despite the lack of deciduous leaves it still worked great. And it’s not often I’d say this but I would stick that on my wall.
Alan
nfl-fanParticipantHe he… I knew that might put the lust on you of all people.
Not everyone is keen on the colour swapping stuff… personally I’d usually play safe a go for B+W but it just didn’t work on this.
Still gotta workout the PP workflow. I done two experimental testers last night… they’re OK but I think there’s plenty of scope for improvement.
Feel free to take a lend of the 30D for a weekend sometime… but don’t ask me to try out any Sony gear in return!
Cheers
Jps. This was handheld too… 1/100 sec… the joy.

Hey, I can do handheld too…turns out abstract than landscape though
Keep ’em coming…
PeteWMemberA really interesting picture, although I think the addition of the coloured sky immediately makes me think snow-scene rather than IR. Only on further inspection do the IR elements come through. Either way, a good shot and one that looks like it could be from some fantasy film set.
lousyParticipantI have to say here that this is, in my opinion, the best image that any of us has taken of this windmill.
Great angle, in fact everything about it is good.cathaldParticipantThat looks good big J I like the effect on the tree and the thatch
Now you are going to put another want on me seeing this IR stuffAlan RossiterParticipantlousy wrote:

nfl-fanParticipantFanks a bunch you guys.
I think this was taken up on the ditch close to a telephone pole. I was using the 17-85 and the 17 wasn’t giving me as much width as the ‘ol 10-20 which was at home so I had to come up with some way of getting a good angle

piusno1MemberReally great shot, when I first seen It, It gave me the impression that it was a Bonsi setup if that makes any sence (ie bonsi tree) it looks
surreal the scale of the windmill against the tree. But its a brilliant IR shot not overdone.MadeleineCalaidoWeberParticipantRobMemberAedanCParticipantWow! First IR picture I’ve ever seen that I really like.
Keep them coming.

Wonderful shot, very much into this.
John this is an excellent subject, very nice.
Well done.
Hey did you ever get that om to Eos adapter?
A
BallymanParticipantDon’t really like this kind of stuff normally but this is definitely a winner. The sky is a little too dark blue for my taste but it still doesn;’t take anytihng away from this for me.
