Winter atmosphere

I got up early this morning…6am early. Full of soup and all things warm I took a trek with the intention of capturing winter in isolation. This is what I got:

Nice shots Alan, #2 is a super strike IMO, is there a secret to getting the snow so white as mine is usually grey. :D

Hi Alan. #2 is definitely the best IMO. I was wondering who’s footprints were in #1, your own maybe?

    Thanks gents.

Stephen – a little bit of trickery. Duplicate your image in PS. Do a curves adjustment on the top one and use the white dropper on the snow (it makes it white). Then mask off the sky/trees.

Miki – alas, not my footprints. This is a toilet on a golf course. Funnily enough the footprints lead to it…but nothing away from it. :?

Very nice set Alan, number 2 would also be my favourite. Really captures the winter atmosphere nicely.

No 2 for me also, really like no 1 as well for the thoughts it runs through
my head. A hard night, out for a walk to clear the head, walks onto the
tee box, veers away left and back again to the toilet. The snow never lies.

    Matt.
