Winter Blooms

Hi – haven’t posted in a while. Was out taking my 50mm for a walk yesterday and took some photos of winter blooms/berries (I’m working with a D40 so I have to use MF).
Would love some feedback from PI on the comp and post processing. To view more then please see my flickr! :)
Nice set of seasonal shots and well presented.
Was thinking of the 50mm for my D40 but not sure i could be annoyed with manual, how do you find the MF?
DeeI love my 50mm but can only really use it on stationary subjects so you have the time to focus correctly. I want to upgrade my camera next year so my 50mm will AF on anything I get. They are so cheap as well so its worth while getting one for that reason alone…think mine was about £40stg! I’ve tried to use it on kids (see below) but only works when you distract them with something sweet :lol: Its always good to know about MF anyway so I would say go for it. You can always check out the 50mm groups on Flickr and get some inspiration and advice there too.
