Superb work – you certainly made the most of the atmospheric conditions!

I’m left wishing there was more foreground interest …. a fence/gate/something in the forground to add a little depth to the composition and break up the large expanse of frosted grass but there wasn’t – nothing you could have done to improve that!

Yes, the expanse and depth are immediately appealing

Wow…the fog and light in this are really nice. It’s an excellent shot. I don’t think the composition is quite there though. I think I’d go with less foreground since there isn’t much interest there.

Lovely shot, personally I’d disagree with Doug, I really like the long shadows of the trees on the right across the foreground.

I like the shot and the foreground as it is doesn’t need and more interest

Yeah, that’s a fair comment, I just felt the amount of sky and amount of foreground were out of balance. If there is additional cropped sky available, adding some of that might work too. I hadn’t spotted the shadow of the tree to be honest…it would be a shame to crop it out.

Hmmmm…that doesn’t quite work either. Now it feels really right heavy to me. Do you mind if I play around with some crops and post them? I’m feel like I’m really struggling with composition right now, and it would be a useful exercise.
