I like it. Can’t believe you didn’t get a comment. Has a mystical feel.

Its all nice except the blown out highlights. They are very distracting for me.

    Hi RAS,

I’ve looked at this a few times and sometimes I look a few
    times before I comment.

I find a lot to like about this photograph.
The trees look really good and the main burst of light with the rays
spanning out looks fine to me.

I do think the two circles of light that the road leads too kinda spoil
    the image for me.
When I cover them I think it looks much better.

All in all Its a very good effort at a difficult subject.

    Cheers.

    John.

Such a difficult shot to expose correctly. Did you shoot RAW? If possible I would have shot raw and bracketed the shots to try and get all the dynamic range. This looks like a HDR?
Personally Id much prefer it processed so the colours look more natural. But a lovely shot and post processing, well done

Thanks guys and yes this was shot in RAW and merged to HDR. Agree totally that the lights at the top of the road are dsitracting and spoil the image, any suggestions on how to tone down during processing and in a realistic way much appreciated

what software did you use for tone mapping, ie photoshop, photomatix,
my route is usually is using photoshop to create a hdr file, then use photomatix to tone map
i would leave most settings on default, using white point and gamma to adjust brightness, into photoshop to add contrast and some adjustments.

    Hi RAS,

I had a go earlier at cloning out those circles of light and with a great
deal of care it is possible to produce a realistic result.

Mostly I would only do this if the image was worth the effort and I think
in this case it might just be worth a try.

It’s a really nice image and it might not be too easy to shoot it again.

    Cheers.

    John.
