I use photobox.ie for colour shots (?2 p+p) and peak imaging for b+w.
With photobox you get some album space, you might also get some free credits
when you join up to use on 6x4s’.
Go and get some printed, they’re crying out for it :)
You should be ashamed of yourself Noely. I can’t believe
you haven’t printed any of those stunning macros you’ve been
posting since you signed up. Get printing, and soon…
Especially like the composition of the first Noely,
would make a lovely print-
Calibration is a bit of an issue,
might be worth sending off for a few small ones first,
so you can make a comparison with what you’re seeing on your monitor-
I don’t have any experience of these printers,
but regarding jpegs-
jpegs are a lossy format, in that every time they are saved,
the compression algorithm throws away information,
and rewrites the file.
If you’re printing from a first generation high quality jpeg,
at the size theat you order
(ie, that the print company don’t re-size the picture)
then quality should be as good as you can expect.
It would be good to know what dpi these guys work with,
so that it can be printed straight off-
A 16bit tiff will give the best quality,
provided everything else is optimum too-
Go on,
get some prints done-
