Yet another Brambling

I dont recall ever seeing one of these little beauties before, then
all of a sudden lots of them appear on the site and lo and behold
one arrived in my garden this morning :)

Thanks John will do that, was reading up on them seems they are winter visitors
from Eastern Europe so I guess I am fairly lucky to have seen him!Nice shot Jenny. Detail is great, you did well to get such a good shot of a rarely seen visitor, must have had you scrambling for the equipment when you spotted it……Mikka
Thanks Crotach, yes I agree didnt even have to leave the sitting room :)
and Mikka you have no idea, ALL my gear was packed in the camera bag
and in a suitcase to boot (ready for a little trip to Wales) everything was
flung out to the four corners of the room to get at it………so a spot of
repacking is in order.Lovely, I want one in my garden and considering the variety and amount of feed out there I deserve one!

did land on the bird table. Delighted with the hide goes up in mins and can be put

(no I didnt see one) I was looking on birdireland website and Hoopoe were seen
in and around Lady’s Island Wexford, so that might be my next trip! So my new
list now has Hoopoe and Woodpecker on :) The Siskins are still around too.There was a Hoopoe just outside Enniscorthy, in a friends garden a couple of years back. A neighbour at the time photographed it.
