Yet Another Spaniard in Dublin

miguevParticipant
Hello,
Since I moved to Ireland six months ago I wanted to join some comunity and/or clubs about photography and hiking in order to meet people with similar hobbies. This is my first try
Weird as it may seem, I love film photography while being a computer geek working in IT. I came across this forum while looking for a good lab and I liked this forum so much that I decided to join up :)
My interests are mainly in the country side and mountains: landscapes and small nature, mainly flowers. I don’t shoot animals because they run away. Same problem with people so little portraits from me can be expected. And I’m quite shy anyway :D
Urban photography is where I feel comfortable shooting people because there are so many that I hardly get noticed. As you have probably noticed English is not my native language, I just do my best. I’m from Tenerife. I started to learn photography 12 years ago, just before my father started to earn a life from it. Nearly all I know about photography came from him but now I feel quite alone as amateur since there seems to be few people who understands me :D
My name isn’t important and you’d get it wrong ;) so just call me miguev, pronounced as /migev/ and I’ll be happy :)
And now it’s time for me to start diving into this nice forum.
MarkKeymasterMiguev,
You’ve very welcome to the site. Lots of the members get together to go taking photographs so both on here
and in the ‘real’ world you’ll find plenty of people who will understand your love of photography :).By the way, you’re English is excellent :). Looks forward to hearing more from you.
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me or ask on the site.
Thanks for joining and for an interesting introduction.
miguevParticipantI know I write acceptable English, just wait to hear how I actually talk, at least until the second pint :D
ExpresbroParticipantWelcome on board the good ship Photography Ireland, Miguev. As Mark said…very interesting and well thought out introduction. Hope you enjoy, learn and hopefully contribute on this Forum and maybe even join us on one of our outings..be it photography or leisure (i.e drinking) related
Cheers
Robbie
8)DenverDollParticipantHi Miguev!
This is a great place to share and learn. I am new to this site and I don’t even live in Ireland
and everyone here helps me so much. I know you’ll enjoy both the people and the information you’ll get here.
Y tambien, su Ingles is muy bueno, mucho mejor que mi Espanol.Welcome!
SharonGCPParticipantMiguev, you are very welcome and hope you have loads of fun posting here and, of course, learning.

joolsveerParticipantWelcome to the site Miguev and I hope to meet you someday at one of the “events”. What part of Spain do you come from? It is a country I love to visit and photograph. The only “hike” I went on with the other members here was a trip to Glendalough and I was knackered.
miguevParticipantfor your warm welcome and count me in for any hike for either photography or drinking… well, I’m not very good at drinking but I’ll do my best :D
I’m from Tenerife, joolsveer, the highest one of the Canary Islands.
And sorry for the delay but I really miss RSS here!
GrahamBParticipantHola y da la bienvenida, yo le ver? alrededor de pueblo un d?a para un renuevo urbano
