Yipee, I got my A !!!!! (well, nearly)

andy mcinroyParticipant
Good news folks,
I just received word from the RPS that my submitted panel has achieved A. Here’s a selection of 6 of the 15 images.
Statement of Intent
‘This Years Beach Fashion’This panel is about how each person has a role in contributing to pollution on our beaches. From the farmers welly to granny?s slipper, our shoes and other waste finds its way onto out beautiful beaches. We must think more carefully about losing our footwear at the beach for it will still be around for many years to come. We must tread lightly on this planet we live on.
andy mcinroyParticipantP.S
I jest.
If you want a laugh, check out my original pseudonym post and their response.

PeteTheBlokeMemberIt’s not surprising that they don’t understand you, Andy.
You should spend more time here where your subtle humour
will be appreciated fully.RobMemberPeteTheBlokeMemberRob wrote:
You’ve got too much time on your hands Andy… :)
Rob.
That’s the kind of thing a certain ex-mod was fond of saying about a certain
Strabane man, and I object. We all make time for the things that please us
and/or amuse us or divert us. I don’t watch television, but I spend quite a lot of time
at the computer. I read a lot of books but I don’t take as many photos as I could.
I listen to AC/DC and Beethoven, but I sometimes miss the news on the radio.Should I look down on people who watch TV? (I do, because I’m a filthy snob
but my darling beloved watches TV and can’t understand what sort of a blancmangebrain
would want to sit at a computer 10 hours or more each day). Should I criticise someone
who boasts that he has never read a book? You see what I’m getting at? Judging someone by your own standards is relativism. I notice
that you don’t suggest what Andy should have done with the time he wasted on the shoes.
Perhaps he would have been better employed helping old ladies to cross roads, or serving at
the counter of his local Oxfam. But you don’t know if he had just come home from 5 happy hours
spent doing good works.Sorry for ranting, but I know you’ll agree.
Pete
andy mcinroyParticipantLOL Pete,
This little project gave me more fun than watching TV could ever do.
Rob, don’t worry, I spent 10 mins on the photos and 30mins on the processing. I was interested to see what the RPS gurus would make of them and see if 40mins of work could wing an ‘A’.
It appears that they probably wouldn’t, but perhaps if I had put an hours work into them they just might have.
Such is art.
Andy
RobMemberOf course I agree Pete,
or didn’t you notice my smiley? It’s pure envy on my part, because I’m a bit swamped today and I’d
rather be out arranging footwear on beach somewhere.
Yesterday, I had too much time on my hands, and so amused myself
(and others) by searching for Latin and Irish translations of ‘Charlie Bird’.Strabane. A wonderful place.
Rob.
andy mcinroyParticipantI don’t mean to be cheeky by linking to other forums.
But if you want a hoot then you should see my thread about hanging my ‘L’ panel as 8 foot by 8 foot wall prints.

They’ll probably find it, I hope they see the funny side. But I doubt it.
