Following on from Garys suggestion I thought that we could post our first image posted here on PI…for the craic.
This is mine which was way back in March 2007. This took me about 1.5 hours to get the background blurred (no, it wasn’t a tight DOF) as I was only at the photography lark about 2 months at the time and extreme DOF wasn’t a skill I had especially with a kit lens. It was recently published in a tourist booklet for Wexford along with 5 other images.
So, where’s yours?

You did well on the blur there alan. So somewhere along the line you realised that you could achieve the same blur in 1/60s in camera. Thats some time saving.

From Dec 2007, I posted 3 together in my first post but this was the best. I got some good feedback, and the following Autumn I think I did a better job.
MartinHere’s mine..I knew I was playing it safe with the doggy theme..but we all can think back to how intimidating it can be to ask for help in the beginning..and as I recall…after the Buffydog thing..I went out on a limb and got lambasted with my first attempt at landscape :lol:

My first couple are missing, the thumbnail is there, but no picture when I open it…

This was my first post got about 50 views and no comments, as at that stage i hadnt figured out how to post more than thumbnail view. this was a handheld set of i think 16 images blended and stitched in elements. might look a bit small here though
