Don’t want to sound like a scratched record here Mick but this is another shot that has so much potential but it really needs a contrast boost (curves) plus some extra saturation on the blue sky to make it look how I reckon it actually was or at least how I’d like to think it was.
I think since Peter Cox posted his curves tutorials we’ve all gone curve crazy but it is a most effective tool when used right.
It’s a pleasant enough composition I must say… it’s looks tranquil with little sound but those of the waves heading to shore.
I would agree with nfl-fan on this one, the composition is nice but the shot certainly could look a lot better. I think my picture of a tropical beach must be similar to nfl-fans. I used Peters curves technique on a shot recently and was nicely surprised by the result.
