Jasus David I was racking my brains to know who you were on PI… now I know
and we had conversations before too.
Not sure how to use the prism on the camera, so I just guess.
I’ll have a look at the pdf and see if the info is on it.
ThanksPat
jb7ParticipantGlad it’s all working out-
You’ve got to admit, those big negs are really nice,
if you can get all the information off them, they’re even nicer-Shoot lots, some rules just don’t change…
although, considering you can’t just wipe film and re-use it,
sometimes using it does just focus your intentions a little…Can’t be a bad thing, especially for those of us who learned that way,
and who didn’t have any alternative…thedarkroomParticipantlousy wrote:

God, Pat! Isn’t getting old a curse :P
I’ll email the manual for the prism,David
CormacParticipantI just wanted to chime in here and say that the dog image is terrific – I love the shallow depth of field, you’ll never mimic that in Photoshop!
My first venture into medium format was last week – last of the daylight on Howth Head with VERY old film (8 years+).
it wast the first outing for my second-hand mamiya rz67, I am very glad I brought a sturdy tripod.
Just waiting for the nice people at Gunn’s to scan the negs, if there is anything worth showing I’ll post it.
Here’s to analogue – anything that makes you think before you act can’t be all bad.
C.
lousyParticipantThanks Cormac, and any other contributers.
I left in my second roll and collected the negs, so I’ll have them scanned later and will post my first B&W images.
Yep, really enjoying using the Bronica.
Pat.
CormacParticipantlousyParticipantI don’t do them myself Cormac, I get a mate to scan them and he uses a flatbed Epson Perfection 4180.
Don’t know whether that’s any help.
Pat
lousyParticipantjessthespringerParticipantVery good Pat. They have quite a desolate look. I like that.
Are you enjoying it?
lousyParticipantThanks for the reply Sinead.
Yes I have to say it is a bit of a
challenge, It’s a great camera to
use on a tripod, but I do have difficulty
using it hand held. The full roll was taken
with the use of the tripod and I used my digital to
get the readings.Oh btw I also touched up the levels in PS
is that cheating? :? :lol:jessthespringerParticipantlousy wrote:

RE using the camera handheld, I had a problem when using mine handheld, was working on some portraits and couldn’t figure why a lot were just slightly off focus,
eventually figured it was to do with my technique, I’d focus on the subject then I’d look at them just before I pressed the shutter, it was causing me to move forward slightly
which just changed the focus point a little.Started keeping my eye on the viewfinder and the problem disappeared.
Not sure if that is any help.
lousyParticipantlousyParticipantlousyParticipantMy latest and if I’m honest, my worst set with the Bronica. tut tut tut
David O’ Callaghan hope you’re looking!
