really really nice pics – love the light and colouring and the water movement. For me though there seems to be something off about the ‘village’ in the background it doesn’t seem to sit into the picture ‘right’. That, however, is only my totally non-techie, personal opinion!
Just wondering if the comment about the 3×2 is a personal preference or if it is a ‘rule’ along the lines of the rule of thirds? Is there a ‘better’ ratio for portrait shots of landscapes? Still learning here
Also wondering about the lower view point – before I go there again – wouldn’t a lower angle mean that there would be less of the water visible? And that the rocks, especially on the right hand side, would merge together? I get that it would emphasise the stones in the foreground but still wondering – guess the only way to know is to find out!
Thanks Mark! As usual in my hurry I missed something – this time the [img]tags! Thank you for your help :)
Thanks Sinead and Miki G for your compliments. I don’t know though Miki G – for someone who says they’re not one for landscapes you seem to have a pretty good handle on it! ;)
Thanks miki g and zoundz for your feedback. Will try again – the problem with getting a lower angle with such an enthusiastic dog is to stop her from coming running to me, wet, sandy and slobbering all over the camera! But she’ll have fun while I’m trying.
