fantastic shot there, love the perpective, light trails & tracks look like they are going to meet at a point, well done. about what shutter speed did you use do you mind me asking??
point taken, must learn how to embed pics (thought they where url’s from personal sites). always thought they looked better, live and learn I guess. cheers for advice!
cheers daithi
it was actually taken around mid morning but it was a real crisp, sunny March day. didn’t put much thought into the shot, I was just driving past and had to stop for a shot. was using a 18-200mm nikkor. do you think I should crop the foreground?..can’t decide and wanted to frame it for someone
conors pass is a must on a fine day, spectacular vistas up there. from the carpark make sure to wander up the hill for about 200/300 metres and you can get better views. went there a few months ago and it was definetly the photographic highlight. obviously with bad weather its pointless up there
thanks for the comments lads, yeh kind of wish the 1st one was sharper because his skin has so many wrinkles and contours (you can see that from his hands cutting the coconut).
cheers, i will..im going to around Davao, in south Mindanao and staying with someone whos been there a few years so hopefully ill see the real Phillipines..i’ll post up a couple of nice shots on my return
thanks for the advice lads, much appreciated. I had thought of ‘flashing around the camera’ thing, its a nikon d80 so it would appeal to someone wanting to make a few bob. I never travelled outside of europe before, I am a bit wary of it but there is no way im wrapping it up in cotton wool either, a camera should be used, end of. I don’t want my reluctance to limit my shots but then again i don’t want to cross the line either. i paid the bones of 2k on the kit so i think im wise insuring it, anyone have tips on that?
