I have a pictural book on Ireland with many lovely pastoral scenes, green rolling hills with farms, castles and cliffs. There is one of Dunluce castle that would make a lovely shot although I expect most of the time would be spent to the South. I will be booking a room in Dublin for 3 days though this can be changed to suit the circumstances. Somewhere with a B & B might be nicer. I expect to be lugging 2 suitcases, one with clothes and the other with canvas prints to show family & friends as well as to sell, my camera equipment and laptop computer.
I’ve a fear of height so while the cliffs are fascinating don’t know as I could get close enough to do a proper shoot. I’m open to suggestions. This will be part of a round the world trip, visiting family in Chicago, with stop offs in Ireland and around 5 days with wife’s family in Germany. I’m 62 and hesitate to drive by myself and not sure of how much I can visit in a day??? In Alice Springs we have many tours available and the worst leaves Alice around noon, drives 500k to Ayers Rock for the sunset, then returns to Alice very late.
