i think the 16-35 L is prob your best bet it goes to 2.8 ….but is expensive. there is also the 17-40 L but thats only f4… i dont think either of them have i.s , so i hope your camera has good high iso quality. another option is the 24-70 L 2.8 but it may not be wide enough with the crop sensor
Thanks for this, had a look online and the 16-35 is quite expensive. would there be another brand with a suitable range for a f2.8?
Am working a job that’s going nowhere and really want to further my skills to make photography more than a hobby. I have seen some people I know do some distance courses from the likes of Kilroys and while they say they got a lot out of it I had to question paying €600 for information that is free online.
I had been a member of a photo club but tbh found it very boring and frustrating as it was a core group of people who set up the club and seemed more interested in promoting their work more than sharing skills and nurturing or developing new people.
So where am I at now, I have a little bit of rainy day savings which am hoping my wife will see fit to delve into and upgrading some of my glass and equipment to allow me broaden my range of skills. I am consciously making an effort to get out and shoot more of everything. the only class I want to take is post processing one.
Hi Bren,
thanks for the thumbs up. On the twinkles, they are the actual suns reflection. the distortion is from a wide angle lens. the is no processing on this
Just looking at this makes me think now about getting cover for my camera. I am renting at the moment and can’t seem to find contents only cover that isn’t as much per year as the items i need cover for… doh!
So is there general camera insurance i can take out?
About as macro as my 18-55mm kit lens would let me get.
Really liked the contrast between the red paint on the wood and the dark greens in the background
Great designs/layouts and very easy to use and organise. Friends used this for their wedding photos and I done one for a travel album which both turned out brilliant.
I have a Canon EOS 500D. It is brand new and totally unused (I ordered one from the UK and have ended up with two!)
15megapixel sensor & Full HD movie recording. Comes complete with an 18-55mm kit lens, battery and a canon gadget bag case.
