Just want to give the thefizz a bit of a shout out and thanks.
I post this query a lot further back then I thought I did and being honest, Iv had a bit of a mental summer, so I never followed up on it until the other night.
Sent me a mail explaining my cluelessness, I was duly advised and the extra few bits arrived via currier this morning.
Im always a firm believer in credit where credit is due as most of the time people only come online to complain.
Its fantastic to have such a great service locally.
Well, I developed my first roll of film last night and I must admit, I did get a great kick to pulling it out of the tank and getting to see I at least had something on my negatives.
I think it very easy to view everything in B&W (excuse the pun) but nothing is every as straight forward. There is a time and place for everything. Lately I have been shooting a few polaroids though out the day of a wedding and people get such joy from having something tangible to hold when for so many year, people now just think of images as things on their phones or tablets.
Thats very interesting.
The Art of Photography youtube channel did a similar experiment but he did it with with prints through adorama and the difference between the two was crazy but it was playing in the back of my mind that he just went with the bog standard cheap as chips printing option.
Would you really notice the jump from 4 to 2.8 on the 40mm and have you tried the camon 50 1.8? Whole lot cheaper/faster and at least its a little more then the 40mm and a lot cheaper then the sigma.
I havent tried the sigma so I can comment on that one.
Hey Sean, I know this isn’t what you were asking for but just thought I might throw it out there. Any interest in a trade for a canon 10-22mm? Im in need of something I can use on both crop and full frame.
The courses in Ucc are very good but I he tends to use constant lights as apposed to strobes but I think once you understand the light you can fill in alot of the gaps yourself for strobe work with a little extra reading.
