It appears that the long exposure has caused streaking across the rainbow – that makes it look very unnatural. Now, I’m not against imaginative techniques and even unnatural effects, however in this case, the “streaks” across the rainbow are distracting. Hope this helps.
No. 2 is why I love photographing sporting events with kids – the devoted coach, the kids all with different expressions, the helper-out dad, the child giving his input – all of them focused on their passion. There are so many stories in this one image – gets the imagination going. Great!
This deserves a comment. I find there is a pleasant symmetry about the layers of the rocks, headland and the distant hills – provides a great sense of scale. I like the colours in the rocks – never remember Mizen head being pink – probably because it was always grey with rain any time I visited. Despite the time of day, the sky has some texture (maybe would have been better early or late in the day).
