    It’s not Kilfarassy :D or evening. About 3pm If I remember rightly :D I think I had climbed up onto some other rocks to take that one.

    The first thing that springs to mind, is I’ld probably have shot it from the other side (face onto the tower) to avoid capturing the modern buildings in the photo. Or crop very close to the tower to take them out. The lines leading from right to left draw your eye straight to them.

    Just use the commander mode in the d80.

    To be honest, the lenses are easily upgraded after. I dont want to buy the D80, then realise that it was really the D200 I wanted (which is the way I am edging anyway).

    I voted for “crop in computer”, simply because most things do require some level of cropping afterwards. I try to get the framing as close as possible though.

    I’m using a graphire 4 classic xl. Makes life so much easier. Recommended.

    Have a read of the thread on the s9500. The s9600 is a very minor upgrade.
