Thanks folks, posting the images I used the “add image to post” below the txt box.i’ll keep that in mind for future.yes the hands do look out fair point. The 1st image was in the shade and bouncing the light towards the model though I think i was abit rough on the editing afterwards.
Cheers Steve, was a good weekend though the weather was testing, was covering VIP work for Rally Ireland and supplying the rallyireland website with images along with McKlein and Race emotion.
Thanks folks I ran the crucial scan before I came on the forum but it cant identify the manufacturer as the computer was built by a local guy a few years ago.Thats why I posted the info here in the hope somebody would know.
All 3 are great John, and all are worthy of someone with the coveted LRPS after their name! Do you have a link to any gallery with your LRPS panel? I suspect it was a landscape panel along similar veins to these, and if so, would love to see it!
Ross
Thank You, my LRPS was via default as I had gained 7 distinctions in City and Guilds and was awarded a City and Guilds Gold Medal in 2001.
The panels I did in City and Guilds
1 Starting Black and White, Panel was the Cobbler ( My father in law who passed away before it was completed ) this panel got me the City and Guilds Gold Medal
2 Starting Photography Colour Panel was called “Cars”
advanced level 5 modules
3 Landscape Panel was “The Sperrins Region”
4 Photo essay Panel was ” Lissan House” ( Mrs Dolling was alive at the time I did them since passed away)
5 People module Panel was “Inisrath Island” Hare Krishna ( spent a day with them and a festival on the Island)
6 Action module Panel was “Sport”
7 Colour module Panel was “Colour in the Landscape”
No. 3 does it for me. The composition of all images are great, just wonder about the brown-red tendency of them. Was it the plan or is that a colourspace confusion?
The brown / red in the bottom right of photo 3 I opened it up as it was quite dull in the shadows and this was the result which I think helped the balance of the photo and a bit of foreground interest. The rest I didnt touch, the light was just amazing
These are fanatastic – the mood is excellently captured and presented. I didn’t know that you could get tours.
I really like C, E and O… particularly the lighting in C and E….
They are sort of hidden in projects, as suggested they would be worth imbedding in the thread and posting in the architecture forum.
Im a member of image 10+ club in Glengormley and one of the members hounded the offices of the 1st and deputy 1st minister about a tour, they asked why we wanted a tour and they were told it would be as a record and there would also be an exhibition. We were granted two vists one was around March and the next was around September a few years ago. we also hela an exhibition in Moseley Mill and one on the Falls Road both of which went down well.As you mentioned I must take an post a few in the architecture forum.
Welcome John, I must mention that your reputation preceeds you, that is if it’s the same John O’Neill. Is this the same John who went to Newtownabbey to study Photography with Trevor, by any chance? and then get a gold medal.
Had a scope at your site… WOW.
Thats me I suppose Trevor has you bored to tears with my name.My Sperrins site is very out of date ( a long story with a designer) I hope to get it sorted and get a few more of my galleries uploaded.I’ll get a look through some of you folks websites and posts when things slow down a bit at this end.
Thanks for the comments folks, we didnt get much time in each area so I shot alot of my images at 2.8 and upwards on 1600iso.I didnt use flash as I wanted to capture the mood and atmosphere.I was using a Canon 1DS mk2 with 24-70L and a 16-35L.The graffitti had all been removed long before we got a tour which was a pity.
