Thanks Padraig, Dave and BM for your feedback. I only have 7d mk2 about 10 days and due to wet weather haven’t got much chance to try it out in my main area, I.e. Bird photography. However I am impressed with its handling and build. I can shoot comfortably at ISO 1600 at around 1/1250th sec in reasonable light and get clean shots. This also helps steadiness, as my canon 400mm f5.6 lens does not have Image stability.
The continuous shooting at 10 fps is great for moving subjects when required. The AF system requires a bit of experimentation, so thats work in progress.
One positive advantage over the 7d Classic is that using canon 1.4 extender I do not lose autofocus. Quite an exciting camera!

Reason for selling: I also have Canon L 400mm f5.6 prime lens, so need to sell one to pay for other equipment.
Do you want to see photo of the actual lens, or photo taken by lens?
Superb shots, especially no. 2!
I have never captured one on camera yet but will keep on the lookout…..hopefully
By the way which camera/lens combination did you use?
Eugene
Just noticed your swallow pics after I had posted one today taken at Wexford hide….also on briar (looks like the same one!).
I like the detail in your shots, especially no. 2.
I have this lens and find it very good with bird shots. With experience I use the following settings most of the time:
ISO 800 minimum. ISO higher is light is very cloudy.
Set shutter (TV shutter priority mode) speed to 1/400 or 1/500 sec. 1/100sec is too slow. Let camera set aperture.
Shoot RAW. I get good results with Canon bundled DPP software.
If the light is reasonable you should be able to get steady shot hand held.
