Thanks for the lovely comments, I suppose I was lucky to be shooting mid-week, but I never met so many landscape photographers in one night.
For the story , I also noticed that once you set up your camera and tripod and start working at your shot , you tend to attract a lot of people, who feel there must be a picture to be taken if you are there, for example once we were set up for the phone box , in a fairly quiet area, a couple of tourists on cycles stopped to see what we were taking shots of , and then proceeded to take pictures of each other pretending to make a phone call with their phones, and had us wait for a good 5 minutes before realising they might be in the way. but that’s all part of the experience.
Also I think you should post your pics of London, there isn’t only one way to look at things, and mine is certainly not better than any one else’s.
cheers.
Philippe.
Hi Jenny,
No wasn’t mine, unfortunately.
there was a lot of photographers around during the storms, and there was only a couple of spots to shoot safely from, so you will probably see similar ones around.
Thanks for the lovely comments,
I had been there previously during storms, but this time I was really looking for something a bit different, for the detail that would make the difference, I thought the two walkers in the mid-ground were that little extra thing. it sort of tells a story rather than just plain landscape.
Yes there was a lot of photographers out that night. Lahinch is well used to storm but this one was pretty bad, a lot of the houses had to be evacuated in the middle of the night.
Very nice shot ,
personaly i like the light at the bottom of the tower .
Can you give us a few technical details, as in how it was shot …one long exposure ot multiple stitched together.
also how do you get this rounded circle star trails when others seem to only get stars to go in the one direction.
really nice shot.
