Thanks Dave. I don’t think any place can be better than the Cooley Peninsula for wildlife and landscape. The wildlife season is a bit short here. The temperature swings from around 30 Deg in the Summer to -40 degrees in the Winter. Hard to see how anything survives. Thanks again for the visit and the comments.

Thanks dave. I have to say, the first one is one of my favourite shots for a long time. I had never seen these birds before, so it was an added bonus.

The beaver was difficult to capture as the evening sun was very strong, looks like a bad strobe shot.

Wierdo or not the kissing couple is a good street shot. Captures the moment very well. I like the guy with the sunglasses too. Nice reflection in the glasses. I have taken so many shots of street performers cfrom exactly the same angle as you have, and I’ve qalways been dissapointed with them. I think it’s about having the confidence to stand in frfont of them and take as many shots as you like.
I like the processing in most.
Irish cities like Galway and Dublin are so good for street photography. I miss it. If you take a shot of a kissing couple in Calgary (where I live now) you would definately be called a weirdo :-)
Keep up the good work. Whth a hard neck and a long lens, everything is possible.

Thanks Mark and Isabella for your comments. I am very much an amateur photographer, but always on the look out for a visually appealing image (to me at least). I haven’t uploaded anything to PI for a long time, as I found it a bit of a waste of time. I was looking for a forum were good criticism such as yours would help me to improve my photography, but apart from yourselves, and a small few other really good critics few are bothered to contribute.
I agree totally that the last shot is out of character with the rest of the series. I am just used to uploading batches of unrelated photographs to Flickr.
I uploaded these late last night Mark, and never even noticed the dark diagonal in the image. It really does spoil it all right. Thanks again for the positive criticism.

PS. I would welcome any comments on the photos that I’ve posted on flickr if you have time to stop by sometime.

Great shot. These guys are so photogenic. Obviously you didn’t scare him into dropping his dinner.
