I’ve done a bit of DIY time-lapse with an iPhone and a photo diode. Blog article here…. http://davidhunt.ie/wp/?p=544″ onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;
Good to see it went well, Linda. The first wedding can be very nerve-wracking. Sounds about the right amount of shots as well :)
Looking forward to seeing a few samples here ;)
Rgds,
Dave.
This article is probably quite relevant, since James Joyce is almost dead 70 years. http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/opinion/2011/0616/1224299000027.html
Many of the issues discussed above are also touched on in this article, but there are many open questions.
Issues such as “Published” works only apply, there’s still questions over unpublished works.

Dave.
Damian,
If you can get some extra cash, then sure, go ahead.
As to whether it would be a viable business, probably not. There are 1000’s of people out there with photoshop, and 1000’s more “with access to photoshop”, that can manipulate photos, restore etc. One suggestion would be avoid proposing money-earning ideas on photography forum’s, as that will encourage people to go out and do the same as you. :)
My main suggestion would be to go ahead and do it, tell as many prospective customers as possible, and see how you get on. Make a name for yourself. If you’re inundated with offers, fantastic. If not, at least you tried.
Dave.
Hi denise,
Welcome to the site! Also, be sure to drop along to the Limerick Camera Club. It’s a great place for learning. http://www.limerickcameraclub.ie
Finishing tonight for the summer, but back again in Septermber.
Rgds,
Dave.
Just make sure it’s an IPS panel or better. You can tell from the specs if the viewing angle is quoted at 178 degrees both horizontal and vertical. Anything less than that, and it’s a crappy TN panel.
With an IPS montor you get 8 bit colour per channel as opposed to 6-bit with the cheaper panels, and don’t have to worry about the image going bright or dark when you sit higher or lower on your chair.
